THE RED SCARF

WRITTEN by  ANNA SIMONE SCOTT STARRING  opposite FRANCES BAY

Anna wrote the film for Gemini Award winning actress, Frances Bay, whose star is on Toronto's walk of fame. Anna and Frances worked together prior to The Red Scarf and became firm friends. The film screened at several prestigious festivals, earning Anna Best Screenplay for a feature short at AOF Festival where Frances was honored with a Lifetime Acheivement Award. The Red Scarf also screened at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts member screening series. Anna subsequently wrote the one-act play version of the film. The play was produced at The Summerfest of One Acts at The Black Box Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Red Scarf is the story of Vivian Barry’s reluctant journey into the past. In the twilight of her life, Vivian, a well-known star of stage and screen, is incapacitated by a traffic accident leaving her with a broken leg. Relegated to spending long periods of time reading scripts and playing voyeur with her binoculars, Vivian is visited by a young woman, Alice, from her past or - is she merely a figment of Vivian's imagination?
