In the twilight of her life, Vivian, a well-known star of stage and screen, is incapacitated by a traffic accident leaving her with a broken leg. Relegated to spending long periods of time reading scripts and playing voyeur with her binoculars, Vivian is visited by a young woman, Alice, from her past or - is she merely a figment of Vivian's imagination?
